The GOP's thumping sweep in Virginia and the surprising win in New Jersey sends a clear message to wavering Blue Dog Democrats in Washington. The looming House vote on health care now looks a lot more iffy, given that Blue Dogs in swing districts will be more inclined to defy Nancy Pelosi on health care.
President Obama and his whole disruptive breakneck-agenda approach -- Let's do EVERYTHING! NOW! -- was a clear loser. A caution light is flashing from the electorate. The anger and fear expressed by the tea parties isn't some fleeting sentiment from the fringes that the Dems can easily dismiss.
Another big loser: Card check, labor's dangerous attempt to boost union membership by chaging the law to dispense with the need for secret-ballot elections in unionization elections.
