Like many people, I occasionally take part in the guilty pleasure of eating a Hostess Ho Ho. Or some Twinkies.

Until recently, I was supporting a hometown, Kansas-City based firm that made these sugary products -- Interstate Bakeries.

But the company moved to Texas earlier this year.

Now, Interstate Bakeries has announced a new name that makes a lot of sense. It will be called Hostess Brands.

In a world where name changes sometimes make little sense -- the sports arm of HOK in Kansas City changing to Populous comes to mind -- Hostess Brands is a great idea.

It just won't necessarily make me eat any more Wonder Bread, Ho Hos or Twinkies.
