The news is full of discussion about football (that’s the American variety) injuries, short term and long term. Today, added to that, worry that the rough-housing on TV every Sunday will influence the youth playing the game. Very astute.

I recommend that our Kansas City Chiefs play a little rugby over the next week to sharpen their minds and bodies.

Rugby (Football) Union rules…this is a union that even Republicans can join without violating party rules...although it tends to be popular with those liberal East Coast Ivy League dens of iniquity.

Rugby,
- a real team sport without pads and flashy uniforms…

- a new business model for those tired of high-overhead…

- no cheerleaders, substitute bawdy songs accompanied by beer after the match.

- passing, running skill required. Flashy tweeting players apply elsewhere.

- the scrum…a wonderful sight to behold, a real test of collective muscle.

- techniques for a tackle that the Chiefs may desire to study.
