Kansas Rep. Bill Otto goes to great lengths on YouTube to explain he's not a racist.

Tell you what. He's not a rapper, either.

The full-bearded lawmaker from LeRoy, Kan., seems to be enjoying the stir he made with his video of himself wearing a cap that says "the other dark meat," and performing a wooden recitation of a (sorta) rap poem that pokes fun at President Obama, former Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, Nancy Pelosi and others.

In fact, Otto is so proud of his work that when his daughters took his video off the Internet, he put it back up.

We perhaps live in an overly sensitive age, so I'm willing to accept Otto's explanation (on the video) that the dark meat business is a reference to opossum and not the president.

But funny? Not a chance. Otto in the video compares himself to humorist Will Rogers. Dream on, pal.
