Lesson for Van Jones: Don't get too uppity

When every single one of your comments is negative, maybe it's time to rethink your opinion. You make me laugh.

could it be Yael? Look in the mirror. Uppity? I wouldn’t call anyone uppity because of the negative connotation that is/should be associated with it. So who’s the raciest? Perhaps it’s the guy who talks about the “white-America crowd”. Aren’t we all just Americans? I do not care personally that your skin color is different than mine. Shouldn’t we judge all by the strength of their character not by the color of their skin? Isn’t that really what this is about? Jones ultimately was judged on the strength of his character (which was lacking) not on his skin color.
Yael just can’t handle that.

Mr. Abouhalkah, through this article alone, proves to me he hasn't a clue.

Why doesn't he ask where Mr. Obama's been during the past week or two on this story? What are the President's thoughts on Mr. Jones resignation? Does he still support him? Did he know about Mr. Jones past remarks and affiliations?

No. Mr. Abouhalkah is more concerned with Glenn Beck's irritating fondness for uncovering the truth then laying it bare to see if it stinks or shines. And if it stinks, the problem is not with the truth, but with Mr. Beck.

Glenn stated over and over on his show that the “A**hole comment” never bothered him in the least. He said that it was that comment that got the media talking about the story when the media should have been talking about the 300 other things Jones had said, the least of which mattered was the “A**hole” remark. He made reference to Jones admitting that he was a communist and how crazy it was that that comment didn’t bother the media as it should – only the “A**hole” comment got them excited. And Mr. Abouhalkah you dare to call us racists? Van Jones, a self-described Communist and Black Nationalist is the true racist. Just read a few of his comments. If you’d like I could send you some text on how to use Google. Stop speaking about things of which you know nothing!

Obama knew exactly what Jones represented when he appointed him. And who will say that Jones is not the close ideological kindred of Obama? Can anyone think that Obama will select “czars” who would represent anything other than Obama’s radical socialist agenda?

Where was ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NYT, Washington Post and a myriad of other MSM outlets when Obama was running for president? Where were these organs of deceit when all of these czars like Jones were appointed as an end-run around congress?

They had their tongues up Obama’s ass.

If Bush had ever appointed czars in such a fashion, the howls would have been heard around the world. The fact is that the MSM is the enemy of America. They are a large part of the 5th column. The other big part of this 5th column is the liberal dominated schools where young minds are twisted.

Don’t say that people like Obama & Jones are communists. Communism never existed in practice. They are radical socialists and they are committed to the goal of destroying our free markets and our freedoms.

In the former USSR alone (yes, they were socialists) murdered about 63 million people and they did so while masquerading under the mantle of communism. Think about this: the media and the schools told everyone they were communists. It was all a big lie.

Nowadays, socialists are masquerading under the mantle of “progressivism.” Keep your eyes on the ball.

Socialists are masters of the shell game.

Find some new journalists. When the "white American" crowd is vilified for wanting this guy out, you really have joined Lewis D. in the wack job crew. The Star is a lot like the Royals; just when you think they cannot get any more out of touch, they exceed your worst case prediction. And you wonder why the newspaper is dying?

How disappointing.

I moved from Kansas City about 15 years ago. The name Yael Abouhalkah was one I had hoped to forget. His reporting embarrrased me when I lived there. The narrow minded thinking of this individual clearly shows why he is still in such a small market and will continue to be for the rest of his career.

I had forgotten all about him until today when I searced Google about the Van Jones story, and (gasp) there's Yael popping up in the top three news stories (why, I wonder?)...and I was embarrassed all over again. I'll keep my "I'm from Kansas City" to myself, as long as "journalists" like Yael continue to hold K.C. back in the dark ages.

Continued partisan pandering and stupid statements like "he didn't look like a communist" do not lend credence to your attempt to raise your op/ed stature ....or lack thereof....

Now it's racist too!......Beck actually did nothing .....Jones did it all by himself ...to himself.....and now presents an incredibly perverse perspective that he was a victim of "right wing smears"......that my folks appears to be a classic racist "victimhood" statement. I cannot hoenstly see another way to interpret what he said.

He is not a victim ......anywhere in this episodic example of left wing, extremist arrogance.

A little divisive plundering on the way out the door.......Jones and Yael are both laughable.

Mr. Abouhalkah, like Mr. Jones, refuses to acknowledge the concept of personal responsibility.

Mr. Abouhalkah blames others for Mr. Jones' resignation. Mr. Abouhalkah steadfastly refuses to share the full breadth of the vile comments spewed by Mr. Jones over over the years.

If Mr. Abouhalkah would stop being disingenuous and post Mr. Jones' comments on white polluters and white school shooters, one could easily see that Mr. Jones has a racist view of the world. Racists should not be part of our government.

I ask the question: Does the Editorial Board have NO standards?

As ususal Yael is bending the truth more than a little.

Jones is a self-avowed communist, has made many many extremely offensive and outright racist comments, as well as being a '9/11 Truther'. There is absolutely no apology that would suffice for most of what he has said.

That he called members of a political party a particular name is irrelevant. Many who listen to and watch Glen Beck have probably called BOTH parties that and worse in recent years.

There is a lesson here however. President Obama either has the WORST vetting team in the history of the country OR Obama knew who and what Jones was all about when he appointed him. Obama has filled the White House with radicals, communists, and advocates of eugenics, euthanasia, and abortion up to the age of TWO YEARS AFTER BIRTH.

It's time for Congress to act to stop the use of CZARs who are not vettted and not approved by Congress. There is apparently no one vetting these people for suitability for government service, and there is no mechanism to make them accountable to the American people. Each and every one of these CZARS needs to be vetted and confirmed by Congress. This is not a dictatorship where the 'Dear Leader' gets to appoint whomever they want without scrutiny by the public. The Constitution spells out specific rules for appointment of Cabinet members and Obama's use of CZARs to replace traditional Cabinet members is outright UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

I agree that Yael seems to be trying to say stupid things to rouse us. I think they all know the Star is doomed and are saying the wildest stuff just for fun because they know it does not matter anymore.
The real Star died some years ago. What is left is not the Star but an imposter.

Yael deliberately makes these absurd comments to invoke the ire of thinking people, and then he sets back and snidely smiles saying "look what I have turned up now!"

...started in on Jones prior to his visit here in KC--did anyone from the Star ask Jones about Beck or what he was saying about him? Seems like a good journalist would see what is out there on the airwaves and web about members of a group from DC coming to KC.

I guess his dropping Obama's name as a BFF is enough to silence a Star employee from doing their job.

BTW, Yael you seem to enjoy using over and over again the use of "asshole" in your columns here. Rather childish I must say.

I guess I'm being a little too "uppity". There is just something about a self-avowed Communist and racist being an advisor to the President that rubs me the wrong way.
Why is it writers like Yael seem to leave out the racist Communist part of Mr. Jones' biography? I know, let's not confuse people with the facts.
