Some in the media are bending over backward to claim a new Gallup Poll has favorable numbers for Sarah Palin.
Sorry, I don't see it.
True, the good news from the poll is that 43 percent of Americans are either very (19 percent) or somewhat (24 percent) likely to vote for Palin should she be in the presidential race in 2012.
That's at least somewhat encouraging information for fans of Palin.
However, here's the bad news, and it frankly paints a darker picture for her political future.
The poll reports that 54 percent of Americans are either not likely (13 percent) or not at all likely (41 percent) to support Palin in a 2012 race.
That's a majority right there, with this addition: The 41 percent "not at all likely" voters is a huge negative to overcome for Palin, or any politician.
That fact indicates there's a huge reservoir of voters who aren't going to support her come hell or high water.

Delicious
Digg
41 + 13 = 54
Didn't Obama overcome such a negative? If I remember correctly, more than 40% of the voters said they were not likely to vote for Obama.
54% not likely. That's a lot more than the 40% you claim were not likely to vote for Obama.
And I also want to see a source for this number.
do tell
can you provide a source?
Hold on, Mountain Goat
"The 41 percent "not at all likely" voters is a huge negative to overcome for Palin, or any politician."

,
I posted one of my editorials a few days ago illustrating how one sided and partisan Yael is.
Apparently this post hit close to home (just mentioned how him and his ilk attacking Sara Palin finally paid off), and he had it deleted.
Thanks for this valuable intel Yael. Now I really know what irks you.
The Star is (or at Least Tries to Be) a Profit-Making Operation
Trust me; the Star doesn’t want to do anything to make Sarah Palin leave the scene. Scroll down the various stories on this blog and you’ll see that if Palin’s name is in the title the “reads” bounce up enormously.
Palin does this because she holds interest for everyone. Some think she speaks for them. Some think she is a complete buffoon. Either way, people want to read about her. Her supporters want to see how the “liberal press” has trashed her. Her detractors want to see if she has found a new way to self-destruct. Whether outraged or amused, everyone seems interested.
Either way, she is good for the Star. I have often thought that the “liberal media” is not really liberal, it is anti. In an election cycle the press wants to keep it close, so it goes after whoever is ahead—it wants a race. This model was shaken during the Obama/McCain race. Even I would admit that the media was overtly in favor of Obama. They thought he was a fascinating story. I never thought that about Kerry, Gore, Clinton (Bill), Dukakis, Mondale, Carter, etc., though.
Fear not, I would be shocked if Palin left us anytime soon.
Surely you jest
Our 'liberal media' would never twist the facts to favor a conservative!
Did she used to be something
Sarah Palin? Who is Sarah Palin?
Was governor or something like that.
Responsible for a lot of money. Had to work with people holding both concurring and opposing viewpoints in order to forge public policy.
Didn't she walk off that job? Wanted to run around being "presidential," meaning talk only to people who agreed with her. Wanted to talk about public policy and budgets and the future of America.
Didn't want to be responsible for actually having to do any of that stuff. Gets in the way of talking about what she would have done if she actually had the chance -- which she did but she quit the job.
What was that person's name again? In all the blur around Michael Jackson, I seem to have forgotten that person's name.
Maybe that's it: Michael Jackson. Wasn't he governor of Canada? He could see Iran from his front porch. Or, was that somebody else?
Oh, yeah. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. I've heard that name a lot lately. Is he running for president or something?
ya
Well I don't want her to run, but I'm sure she will.
Thanks for the update Yael. I'm glad I have someone like you following the Palin stories.
