It's official: Dick Cheney is writing his memoir, ready to unleash his views of what happened over eight years during the Bush administration in the White House.
Conservatives can't wait to enjoy the vice president's writings, which also will cover his full 40 years in public service to several administrations.
Liberals can't wait to bash Cheney, of course, unless he issues all kinds of apologies for his actions in the White House. Not exactly likely, by the way.
As I wrote earlier this year, Cheney has tried to remain in the public eye to increase interest in his viewpoints.
He has been a frequent critic of President Barack Obama's policies, gaining media attention almost daily.
The new book deal, The New York Times reports, is with Threshold Editions, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
His reward: $2 million. And the book is supposed to be out by 2011.
Cheney wielded plenty of influence with Bush and his administration. If he lets down his guard and writes frankly, Cheney could provide some excellent insights into what happened during those years in the White House.

Nothing Cheney ever said has
Nothing Cheney ever said has been true. Since his working for the certifiably paranoid Tricky Dick Nixon to his time as undisclosed Snarlmiester for the NeoConMen of the Republican Party, his job was to spread fear, hatred and division in America.
Being adamant and stubborn doesn't make you right, it makes you inflexible and rigid in your thinking. A political fossil.
He needs to be prosecuted for ordering and approving torture. That's the truth whether Cheney thinks it's right or not!
Consistant
Cheney has nothing to appologize for. For that matter niether does Bush. The financial meltdown that occured has been on the horizon for a long time. The toxic assets that had been circulated accross the globe existed before Bush even entered the White House. Not sure what he could have done to stop it especially given the global scale.
Have you ever written about the lack of job growth associated with the obama "stimulas". I've read you attack republican support for the big rich companies...where did the o put the money. His plans will be a direct attack on the middle class and small business. But we should all get even worse health care, gotta love what you support.
