Methinks the biggest storm in Missouri tonight is the one that hit KMBC-TV when it opted to air an hour of chatter about tornadoes that never materialized in place of THE 100th EDITION OF GREY'S ANATOMY.

I know it's a tough call, and informing the public is first priority. But my-oh-my, all those people tuning in to see if Derek and Meredith would actually tie the knot...if Izzy would survive her surgery...and instead getting Brian and Erin, Larry and Lara talking about severe lightening near Chillicothe. Really, I think a bulletin at the bottom of the screen would have been adequate.

Toward the end of the hour, you could see the crew getting worried. Larry Moore read a letter from a viewer wanting to see Greys Anatomy. Lara Moritz announced that on Friday people should tune into the station's website, www.kmbc.com, to see when the show would be rebroadcast.

Somehow, I don't think that's going to cut it.
