Kansas Citians will see a lot of red -- the color worn by thousands of Oklahoma Sooners football fans -- next weekend.

OU jumped ahead of the Texas Longhorns in the latest BCS poll Sunday evening.

That means the exciting Sooners will face the Missouri Tigers next Saturday in the Big 12 Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium.

KC retailers and hoteliers will be the big winners with this championship game.

OU brings a lot of fans wherever it goes. (Texas would have done well in that category, too). The Sooner fans will stay in hotels, eat at restaurants and generally drop hundreds of thousands of dollars into the KC economy.

As for the Tigers, they will be big underdogs to OU. The Sooners have scored 60 or more points in their last three games and are one of the best college teams of the past decade.

Plus, Missouri just lost a tough game to the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday, 40-37, at Arrowhead.

But this is still a great matchup for Kansas Citians to enjoy.
