After Sunday's blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills, the KC Chiefs are 1-10 on the year. And they have lost 19 of their last 20 games.

On Sunday, the "defense" coached by Gunther Cunningham gave up more than 50 points to the Bills.

Yet Cunningham apparently has nothing to worry about. He still has his job -- as do Carl Peterson, Herm Edwards and others involved with the once-proud Chiefs.

Just last week owner Clark Hunt said he was encouraged because his team had been losing closer games in recent weeks and their younger players were making progress.

But that progress wasn't on display Sunday at what became a nearly empty Arrowhead Stadium early in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Tyler Thigpen threw interceptions and fumbled the ball. The defense stunk.

But here's the good news: The Chiefs are in the hunt to have the worst record in the NFL, meaning the team could get a very high college draft pick.

Keep hope alive, Chiefs fans.
