Palin just wants to keep her name in the news. She is interested only in herself, not our country. She is uneducated, inexperienced, unread, untrustworthy and worse. Only about half of her home state voted for her and McPain. Over 200,000 joined WASP...Women Against Sarah Palin. Our friends in England, Germany, and Sri lanka emailed us asking why she was allowed to be even considered for gevernmental posts! The world laughs at her and us! NO MORE FAILIN. I've lived in Alaska and if she was interested in fact instead of fame she'd see the glaciers ARE retreating. Get on with important issues for our country, let the little cry baby go back to obscurity.

I'm Australian and like much of the world became entralled in the election. Having researched the candidates I CANNOT understand why anyone would support Palin. Besides being ablt to spit out age old GOP rhetoric the woman is vacuous, harpy and embarassingly ignorant. She has a verifiable history of machiavellian behaviour and offers nothing but the brain dead mind set of the christian right. Her answers to interview questions show that she is intellectually clearly out of her depth. She is an insult to independent thinking women everywhere.

The world changes at wharp speed and Governor Palin will become just a footnote to history as the next four years rolls by. Rudy and Hillary are proof positive that the past is not a prelude to the future. Some unknown figure will come out of the shadows and, if the economy is still in the doldrums, become the next president. I doubt , however, that it will be any of the present cast of characters.

I have no doubt that the publisher and the owners of the Kansas City Star are proud of efforts of their editorial board columnist to get additional traffic and thus ad dollars from this site. Job security being what it is.

Joe McGuff, God rest his soul, is more than likely disgusted and relieved he is no longer alive to see what has happened to this paper.

So far what I've learned about Sarah Palin is that she hears voices and cheats on her taxes. The gift tax on $200,000 worth of clothes (that's the new figure) for herself and her family, the travel expenses that she deducted for her kids and not claimed as income on her Federal Return (not allowed by the IRS, no matter what Alaska says), and it appears that there is some malfeasance surrounding the property that she and Todd own in Alaska...these three issues should put her in the same league as Joe the Plumber - delinquent. Just like ordinary Americans, huh Sarah?

I never thought of Democrats or 'liberals' as the nastier commentators... but this election cycle has shown they seem to believe any inane accusation about their opposition, repeat them and embellish them even more for their own amusement, without any concept of 'fair' or 'balanced' or substantiation. From Sarah supposedly not being the mother of her own child Trig, to their son now in Iraq supposedly being a vandal of school buses, to a college educated adult not knowing what Africa is... or the 3 largest countries of North America. (All those feeling superior about that last one need to actually look up the definition of "North America".)

After an exceptionally shallow picture painted in the press, Palin is accepting a few interview invitations... now that the election is over, perhaps a few interviewers will allow her to speak without trying to destroy her from the outset. Some people just want to listen. Since she's asked, she's answering questions about future candidacy... with basically, an "I don't know, but perhaps...", yet still being mocked for that answer.

If she fades away, then fine, she doesn't need your help to do so. Unless something unfortunate happens, I can't see how Obama could lose the next election. So, eight years is long enough for everyone to make progress. If you're all so tolerant and superior, how about growing up and letting this play out, without the sneering and perpetuation of lame fantastical allegations.

One would think/hope that true journalists would stand up for 'fair and balanced' and knock down some of the outlandish unsubstantiated 'reporting'. That main stream media continues to follow anonymous rants and bloggers, like a pack of Entertainment Tonight-National Enquirer sensationalists is truly disappointing. And makes it difficult to get information on the issues and solutions proposed to actually make informed, useful decisions... but apparently that doesn't matter to the profit/'news' centers.

Sarah Palin is qualified to be vice president because it's a job for know-nothings and if there ever was a know-nothing Sarah Palin certainly is one.

The problem is she isn't qualified to be President. She could do Joe the plagiarist's job of vice president just fine. She doesn't need to know whether Africa is a country or a continent either. If they send her there for something they'll buy her a ticket from someone who does know the difference. Heck, VPOTUS was the perfect do nothing job for Sarah. It doesn't appear that Palin ever used the phrase "waiting for a sign from God" or even "sign from God" in her Fox interview, nor does it appear to me that such is an even remotely fair characterization of the words she did use. Instead, it appears that the attribution of this phrase to Palin is largely a creation today of the liberal blogosphere, as best as I can tell from a few Internet searches. I am no Palin fan. The invitation to the Divine Person to call Palin to the 2012 is not as happy a thought as the author hopes.
1. Only 61% of USA adults voted.
2. That means 39% did not vote, and those people could elect anyone, Palin included.

Its about registration and turnout. I assure you all, having Palin as a candidate with two years to strum up registered Christians is not a prospect I look forward to. The Taliban and the Christian fundamentalists share many traits. I dont want our national discourse to be about the Bible or whether to go to war with Russia over issues that are glossed over with religion. The Georgians are Christians and they attacked ethnic Iranians in South Ossetia. Georgia fired the first shots. She SAID she is ready to lead the USA to war over that sectarian mess.

While it's far too early to start the impeachment proceedings against Mr. Obama, doubtless there are many already working on the boiler plate. Like it or not, Republican voters turned out at the lowest level in 28 years. Pundits, rather than see this reality for what it truly was, a repudiation of both candidates, insist on ascribing the win as some sort of "mandate". The latest Zogby polling is shooting holes in the theory that this or that demographic carried Mr. Obama to victory. Indeed, it was Republican and conservative Independents choice to sit this one out that explains the victory, and nothing else. Turning out elitists and power brokers every two, four, or six years may be the answer to America's Citizens taking back control of our government. Never re-elect anybody may be the war cry for an increasing number of voters, and it actually just makes good sense. No elected politicians should serve longer that two terms. If they can't get it done in two terms, they're incompetent, inept, or corrupt, or all of the above. While I don't have the facts to back it up, my gut instinct is that sales of guns and ammunition are spiking after this election. Perhaps America's Citizens realize that another revoloution is in the offing?
