This could get ugly. And scary. In the presidential campaign's waning days, Sarah Palin will issue more strongly worded warnings about America's future under Barack Obama and a Democratic Congress.
Whether Palin will be responsible with her charges -- or go off the deep end -- no one knows, even in the GOP's leadership ranks.
It's obvious by now that Palin says what she wants, whether running mate John McCain strongly agrees or not.
On Thursday, Palin tried to raise the specter that Obama and the Democrats would leave America helpless in the face of its foreign enemies.
After meeting with her own foreign advice team, Palin said that the "far left wing of the Democrat Party" wanted to cut a quarter of the Defense Department's budget.
"They’re preparing right now to take over the entire federal government, folks," Palin said.
Actually, Obama wants to increase federal spending.
In addition, Palin is continuing to promote the idea that a Democratic-controlled Congress would go off the deep end in "spreading the wealth around," with massive new taxpayer payouts to people who don't deserve it.
So far, this "socialism" argument seems to have gained some traction with the electorate. It's Palin's job to drive the point home, time and time again.
Yet the question remains: In the next four days, how far will an unmuzzled Palin go to try to scare the country out of voting for Obama?

There must be a shortage of real journalist in Kansas City. Maybe if you post on Craigslist, you may find one. Everything I've read that you have posted sounds like the same vial vomit coming out of the socalist Obama's mouth. His redistribution of wealth has started at $300k, $250k, $200k,$150k and now $120k. Why don't you just bend over and let him have that too.

Actually Montana did elect a woman governor before Schweitzer, and hoo-boy, she was a doozy! She wasn't really corrupt and unethical like Palin, she just wasn't real bright. Pity that someone like her was our first female Governor. She is proof that quality counts more than tokenism based on gender.
And as far as Obama being a product of the Chicago Political Machine... I daresay that is the ONLY way a Democrat could compete with the Rovian Republican Machine.

Montana is a much more diverse state than most people know.
Places like Missoula and Bozeman are actually college-town progressive. I love and miss the majestic scenery of Montana and Wyoming!

Apparently you have never heard of Jeannette Rankin. Rankin was the FIRST woman ever elected to Congress. That was back in 1916, when many women were still getting thrown in jail for crusading for suffrage. Montana had already granted women the right to vote and ELECTED one to Congress.
Montana has a Democrat and a Republican running on the SAME TICKET for Governor and Lieutenant Governor; running for their second term and they will win handily. We are the only state in the union with a mixed gubernatorial ticket.
We are not nearly as backward as you think we are, and you will be seeing our governor Brian Schweitzer again on the national stage before you know it.

I respect the value of radical thinking almost as much as I value integrity and truthfulness. I find no fault with Obama's radical thinking ....some of which holds genuine merit.
I again urge that you read Alinsky's book. He was a committed man who accomplished some remarkable things in favor of the disadvantaged. In his book he speaks about the tactics that he found necessary to accomplish his goals and objectives. Those rules of power were the very things that enabled obama to be quite effective as a community organizer in Chicago.
The problem I have is that, when running for political office, as he has been doing for 13 years now, you cannot operate on the same premises as a community organizer......but he has. He has lied, distorted, used street thug tactics and continues to operate under the Alinsky mantra that the "end justifies any means necessary."
I find that premise profoundly flawed and insulting to the time honored values that i believe our society has been built on: Honesty, truthfulness, fairness, transparency and openness. If you read the book you would be able to accurately forecast, as I did, virtually every tactical action he has taken in this campaign from the day he entered the dem contest in Springfield.
He is (my opinion) an opportunistic, duplicitous classic Chicago politician who has no regard, whatsoever for ethics. He is a brilliant charlatan who we are gambling alot on.
Last night on PBS, Charlie Rose and Tom Brokaw both acknowledged (in spite of their obvious support of Obama) that they have no idea of what his world view is. They have no idea of what he really believes. While they should obviously be embarrassed by that lack of knowledge they certainly expressed none.

For those who are concerned about their taxes, if you are making up to $250,000, your taxes will increase by $121. A nominal increase. For those who make less, you'll get a refund.

Tax Cut
Obama is not giving people under $250K, $150K, or whatever the magic number is today a tax cut. He is raising marginal rates on people to redistribute the income to other people in the name of fairness.
If Obama wanted to cut middle class taxes he would cut the marginal rates, you know those rates Bush cut. But the dirty lie is he is not cutting those rates because when they expire in 2010 those rates will go up and everyone's taxes will go up. My guess is he will modify this becuase people not paying taxes now would end up paying taxes in 2010 and in Obama world that would not be fair.
There is no Obama tax cut it is all tax increases with a redistribution of taxed wealth from one class to another all in the name of fairness.

The Obama Biden calculator does not show a marginal tax cut. Not sure why the link is important except to demonstrate how much wealth will be taxed to redistribute to others. What the calculator does not show is the capital gains tax increases. 5% increase in my capitol gains wipes out any $500 rebate Obama may want to give me. Again, where is the tax cut? What marginal tax rate is going to be cut? How is a capital gains tax increase a cut?

I am not calling for tax cuts, Obama is saying we are all getting tax cuts and it is a lie. I am for cutting government spending so that my kids and yours are not saddled with a debt they wont be able to repay. I am for the 40% who dont pay federal taxes to pay a percentage. If people are to receive the benefits of government they should pay and have a stake in that debate. By excluding people from paying federal taxes we create the class warfare that Obama is using today to get elected.

The state owns the land where the oil is located. The state is leasing the land to oil companies for the purpose of oil companies making a buck. Paying a lease to drill is not spreading the wealth it is a dividend payment to the people of Alaska for the use of their land.
When you put money in the bank and draw interest it is not wealth redistribution. You are earning a dividend on money you risk in that bank. Taking money from that bank to pay people who have not invested in that bank is Obamas plan and that is redistribution.

Being that I come from five generations in the oil business (including a father who was a petroleum geologist.) I know a little of what I speak, oil companies also lease land from private citizens and the federal government. The proceeds would have been better suited to be put toward energy research and conservation instead of Palin spreading the wealth. You say potato and I say.....

Yes, Obama wants to increase federal spending, but uber liberal Barny Franks has proposed cutting DEFENSE spending by 25%. Just the cr*p he has proposed so far will increase spending by much more than 1/4th of the defense budget. None of the increases Obama has proposed have ANYTHING to do with the Defense Department. They are all giveaways to people who don't pay taxes to start with.
