The Los Angeles Times has a video tape of a 2003 farewell party for Rashid Khalidi, a university professor who was a spokesman for the Palestine Liberation Organization and Yasser Arafat but they won’t let us see it. Why? What don’t they want us to see?
Attending the event was Barack Obama and that unrepentant terrorist, what’s his name…..you remember that guy Obama doesn’t pal around with? Oh yeah, William Ayers and Ayers' wife.
So what’s on that tape that The Times doesn’t want us to see? Maybe it’s Obama’s reaction when a young Palestinian read a poem accusing Israel of terrorism and remarks that were critical of the United States for supporting Israel. Maybe Obama applauded or was part of a standing ovation. We may never know.
Or maybe it shows Obama sitting next to Ayers, that guy he hardly even knows, at the dinner table. They wouldn’t want us to see that. Why someone might get the wrong idea and think there was more to that relationship than Obama would like to let on. Maybe they really were “pallin’ around.”
The Times should release the video. As John McCain put it, "I guarantee you, if there was a tape with me and Sarah Palin and some neo-Nazi or one of those, you think that that tape wouldn't be made public? Of course, Americans need to know, particularly about Ayers, and also about the PLO. So hopefully there will be enough pressure on the L.A. Times that it'll come out, but it’s really unfortunate that we have to go through this."
So let’s see: We cannot see any of Obama’s college work. We cannot see his birth records because they were sealed by the governor of Hawaii this week. Now we cannot see The Times’ video. What is Obama hiding?
We may never know thanks to a mainstream media trying desperately to protect Obama.

Can someone please confirm that McCain sat on a board that voted to give Rashid Khalidi's PLO group $500,000? If this is true, this seem a little WORSE than having dinner with him. If in fact you have a problem with Arabs and Americans having relationships.

we see the double standard being used and passed by some KC newspaper types. In the name of unbiased reporting or just getting the truth out, why not give the follow subjects the same set of questions?
What do we need to better understand about and focus on Keating, Liddy, Hagee, William Timmons (head of McCAin's transition team) and the fact that he lobbied for Freddie Mac or the report of fact that, "Timmons aided an influence effort on behalf of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to ease international sanctions against his regime.
The two lobbyists who Timmons worked closely with over a five year period on the lobbying campaign later either pleaded guilty to or were convicted of federal criminal charges that they had acted as unregistered agents of Saddam Hussein's government. Timmons' activities occurred in the years following the first Gulf War, when Washington considered Iraq to be a rogue enemy state and a sponsor of terrorism. Barack Obama Needs to Come Clean With America
There is far too much about this candidate that has remained hidden from the American people. Obama refuses to release his Occidental transcripts, his Columbia transcripts, his senior thesis from Columbia, his Harvard Law Transcripts, a notarized copy of his long form birth certificate, his medical records, an account of how he was able to travel to Pakistan in 1981 when American's weren't permitted to go there (which country's passport was he using?).
Obama has been horsing us around about Bill Ayers. He ran the Annenberg Challenge with Ayers for 6 years and failed to mention this as he described Ayers as "some guy in the neighborhood" (some guy with whom he doled out 110 million dollars pumping dangerous anti-Americanism into Chicago school children instead of desperately needed academic instruction).
Obama says one thing and is another. He poses as a moderate and yet is the most leftist Senator, based on his voting record, in the Senate. His explanation of who is going to pay for his 1.3 Trillion Dollar welfare program keeps changing. In fact Obama voted to raise taxes on all Americans including people making as little as $42,000 per year on four different occasions in the last 12 months. Of course he will. How else can he get all the money he needs to send out those 10 million new checks to Americans who don't pay any taxes at all and who are voting for him for their freebies.
Obama is a typical dishonest double talking politician. And smart and responsible citizens should judge him not by all of his smooth talking crap (pardon my French) but by his socialist actions. Frankly, when you throw in the thuggery at his ACORN organization, he's more Marxist than socialist. And socialism is a failed system There is nothing new or exciting about it. It's failed everywhere it's been tried. It destroys initiative. It destroys economies. No thank you.

Tribune owns the LA Times along with significant other media. RJR thinks they're right wing. I am not so sure about that. I agree with you Ross. America is far too curious and concerned to let this evidence of Obama's allegiance to Palestine gather dust on a shelf just days before an election when whatever is on that tape could tell us vitally important details about the person who may be elected. The entire bullshit media is so far in the tank for Obama that they need scuba gear to breathe. This is just another example of stuff we do not know about the messiah......It took a court order to get the Annenberg Challenge papers released 8 weeks ago in spite of the fact that they were held in a public university library.
The result of that release was Obama's stronger ties than previously thought to Ayers....probably not a very big deal other than in the context of how far the Obama campaign will go in their less than clear, forthright transparency. They have consistently misled the public, aided all the way by a compliant media, in every aspect of the campaign.
The BSM gave him a pass when he went back on his word to use public funding for his campaign. They give him a pass when his campaign illegally takes money from the publics credit cards. They give him a pass when he accepts contributions illegally from foreign sources.
I voted for Barr and am not a McCain fan but this entire election cycle has been comical. Obama has used every trick that he learned from his model's book, "Rules for Radicals".....all the power "rules", all the deceit, all the thuggery, all the inverse assignments that Alinsky used in his admirable work for the downtrodden. The overwhelmingly core principle of the campaign has been the same as Alinsky taught.: The end justifies ANY MEANS.....and the compliant BSM embraced that same principle.
Our sole hope is, that beneath all the BS is a man whose character is half as inspiring as his rhetoric and ten times as inspiring and competent as his experience and track record.
But the truth is ....we have no idea. It's a hope and a prayer.... And that fact friends, is the responsibility and fault of the BSM

I am sure your conscience is clear on your vote. But understand - the facts are clear on the effect of your vote as well - nil.
Unless it happens that an election is won / lost by some percentage of votes that ended up going to the other parties.
I approve of a multi-party option ... when there are realistic possibilities that the effect is the selection of more than one or two representatives. In this race with these candidates that is not a possibility. You may wish that it had a different outcome and maybe some day in the future that might be the case but here - it is not.
Your vote is wasted from a selection standpoint. It may have some value as a protest vote.
Every time my company has a anonymous suggestion box campaign with "what can we do to improve moral" or "how can we save money" the answers of "have beer on Fridays" or "fire the boss" may allow a quick chuckle - but that is all they get.

I am curious though. You say, “While you're at it, tell us how this doesn't mean McCain hates Israel, too.” Too? Does this mean that you believe Obama hates Israel? Because I never said or suggested that he does.
Please note that I was careful not to accuse Obama of anything but there really are some things out there that I mention in my post, that I really would like to see. I do not understand why so much is being kept from public scrutiny. It could give one the impression that Obama is trying to hide something.

This is a good example of why the MSM, including the falling Star, is losing readership and ultimately importance.
The LA Times says its July coverage of the event speaks for itself. Of course the video perhaps, as you say, might speak more, but the Times prefers to be a good liberal and not show or do anything demeaning to the messiah.
