Continuing to show great strength nationwide, Barack Obama surged to a 50-42 lead over John McCain in Monday's Gallup Poll. It's the third straight day Obama has been at the winning 50-percent mark.
It's also the 11th straight day Obama has led McCain.
And the resuls show McCain got absolutely no positive traction following Sarah Palin's debate last Thursday with Joe Biden.
In fact, Obama led McCain by just 5 percentage points last Thursday, before the debate. Now the lead is 8 percentage points.
The huge Obama lead has prompted McCain and Palin to pump up the negative attacks on Obama, leaving less time for talking about what they would do if elected.
It's going to be a nasty last month from the GOP side, if the polling continues in Obama's favor.
