OK, I'll bite: What was up with Hillary Clinton's bright orange pantsuit, the one she wore before her well-received but not overwhelmingly great speech Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention?
She looked like a glowing pumpkin.
My wife disagreed, saying Clinton looked just fine, given the blueness of the convention's TV backdrop.
And, yes, I realize there probably won't be any need for sartorial comments about what Barack Obama wears Thursday night during his acceptance speech. Prediction: It will be a dark suit with a red tie.

Hillary's Clothing
I cannot believe you are so shallow. Who cares? Why does it matter? She wasn't on stage to be critiqued for her wardrobe. Why does her outfit garner any attention from you at all. This reminds me of all the subtle sexism she and we had to endure during her campaign.
Curmudgeon
Yael,
You're in serious danger of becoming a curmudgeon, unless that's what you're going for.
And it's not just the paper either. I watch you each week on "Ruckus". You can be cranky.
Of course, on "Ruckus" cranky is mild compared to the moderator.
You just be joking
You're talking about what she wore? What the hell?

Look at a color wheel. The bright orange is the main complementary color to the blue backdrop. Your wife is correct. It was perfect for Hillary, and made her stand out against the blue, while not clashing or looking dull. And she did a fantastic job with her speech, also. I'm not a Hillary supporter, but that speech lifted her waaayy up, in my opinion. That was a classy speech.
