Michelle Obama is speaking now in Denver. She's doing a good job humanizing her personal story and showing passion.

Of course, for damage control purposes, she's had to make a point of telling us why she "loves this country."

And there was the obligatory olive branch to Hillary Clinton. Obama nicely framed Clinton's role in the process as "18 million cracks in the glass ceiling." That's much more diplomatic than "18 million cracks in my husband's chances to be president."

Still, I think this was a good speech for Michelle Obama. She came across as a very smart, accomplished mom.

Barack appeared on a screen at the end and didn't seem to know where he was. He said he was in St. Louis, when in fact he's here in Kansas City. Oh well, at least he got the state right.
