Zimmerman apology carries no value
George Zimmerman’s apology to Trayvon Martin’s parents had less than zero value in the interview on Fox News by host Sean Hannity.
Zimmerman, 28, shot and killed Trayvon, 17, in Sanford, Fla., in February claiming self-defense. No charges initially were filed because of Florida’s “stand your ground” liberal gun laws.
However, after national protests in the shooting of the black youth, a second-degree murder charge was filed against Zimmerman, who’s white and Hispanic.
Zimmerman is free on bond. Trayvon’s parents watched the interview on Thursday, and Fox News reported that they said the apology seemed insincere.
That is the nicest way to describe it.

10 months, 1 week agoWhy would you reference that Martin is black and Zimmerman is white and Hispanic? The FBI has reported that their investigation found no evidence of racism on the part of Zimmerman.

10 months, 1 week agoDo you have a link for the Mueller? The FBI has reported that their investigation found no evidence of racism on the part of Zimmerman
That’s a tough one for me to believe knowing that the FBI has no way of knowing Zim’s heart.

10 months, 1 week agoBrandon. Keep in mind there is a difference in not finding any evidence of racism, which is what they reported, and saying he isn’t a racist. But the fact is the FBI was charged with trying to find if they could find evidence of racism and they said they found none. Here is one link.

The continuing tragedy in this story is that Zimmerman was charged with 2nd degree murder. Even our resident legal beagle has stated this is a case of over-charging, yet you coninue the charade. What will you people do when he is either acquitted or the judge, rightfully, tosses the case????

10 months, 1 week agoThe link you provided: FBI report: No evidence GZ is racist.
Back to my point, the FBI is unable to tell if GZ actions were based on racial bias or animus. They would either have to be mind readers or have some insight in George’s heart (or lack thereof)
The FBI made their determination based on the response of 30 people familiar with GZ. Seriously? You can not make the determination whether GZ had racist intent that night by speaking to 30 people weeks or months later.
Kent Mueller
10 months, 1 week agoBrandon, absent any facts to support racism, you choose to support racist intent? Why? Because that is how you want the story to be? Come with the facts.
Brandon Lewis
10 months, 1 week agoIn my comments, did I lead you to believe that I support a racist intent? Ok.
My point is, that the “FBI” is unable to tell if at the time GZ shot Trayvon Martin whether his intent was racist or not.
Kent Mueller
10 months, 1 week agoBrandon, and my point is that the FBI tried to make that determination, and could not. Yet, even though the FBI can’t read his mind, ad you say, many in the press evidently have.
Brandon Lewis
10 months, 1 week agoYou’ll have to take that up with the press.

10 months, 1 week agoBrandon, I have. But, Lewis never answers that question.
