Will Ryan be testy - or terrific - in VP debate?
At the vice presidential debate Thursday night, Democrats would love to see a Paul Ryan who looked like this on Wednesday, unable to answer a basic question on his stance on abortion.
Or, Dems want to see this from Ryan, someone who looks a bit testy and evasive in answering questions.
(Alert for Republicans: Here’s another view of what happened.)
Or someone who couldn’t answer a question from the usually friendly FOX News correspondent, Chris Wallace, on his tax plan.
Face it: Ryan - for all the hype he gets about being a numbers/budget geek - hasn’t exactly been covering himself in glory the last few days in televised remarks.
That’s probably why Joe Biden can’t wait to put Ryan on the spot tonight about Ryan’s Neanderthal viewpoint of abortion, which the GOP candidate says he’s against even in cases of rape.
Of course, Republicans are waiting for a “Put you all back in chains” moment from Biden, too.
All in all, the debate likely will get plenty of attention from Americans.
After all, given the glib Biden and the overly confident Ryan promises to be more entertaining that the Romney-Obama debate of last week.

7 months, 2 weeks agoIt’s clear that the Republican ticket is trying to make themselves look as benign as possible, walking away from the harsher positions for which they’ve been roundly criticized. I rather doubt the Biden will let him get away with it.
