Whew! July dripped with sweat
It’s good to have July in the rear view mirror. It was a scorcher.
How hot was it? According to data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, July was the hottest month in the history of record-keeping for the planet. That’s going back 117 years to 1895.
The previous hottest July was in 1936. Would you believe that was during the Dust Bowl days?
The average temperature for the July we just lived through in the 48 contiguous states was 77.7, which was 3.3 degrees warmer than the 20th century average.
Can you say global warming?

9 months, 2 weeks agoHot in July in Missouri? Who woulda thunk? What caused the hot summer of 1936? The claim that mankind causes harmful global warming is a total hoax. By the way, the actic was warmer in the 30s than it is today. And in the 70s we were being warned about global cooling. See Time and Newsweek. In fact, the first “Earth Day” was about combating global cooling. Thank you. Mark Robertson Independence

9 months, 2 weeks agoHere is a question.
Once someone from the left misstates a position from the right, how long does it take for another person from the left to comment with more misstatements?
We have our answer.
In this case, it took 2 hrs and 25 min.
Lewis ends his observation by saying “Can you say global warming?”. He said that as if someone would argue that point. There is no argument that global temperatures have been ebbing upwards of late. Yet, the implication is that the right does not think the climate is changing. The right acknowledges the changes in temperatures. Where we disagree is that we do not believe the changes are being caused by man’s activities.
Lewis, please get the arguments right, OK?
As I said, it took only 2 hrs and 25 min for Phil to expand on that misinformation. Phil trumps Lewis by saying the right thinks global climate change (I have no idea why Phil capitalizes that)is a myth. No, Phil. The climate has been changing, just as it has done for as far back as we can determine. Your reference to the Koch brothers is disingenuous at best. Being well informed people from the right, the Koch brothers do believe temperatures have fluctuated. But, as I said earlier, the changes aren’t due to man’s actions.
Would you two please stop misstating the right’s position? If you can’t get that right, perhaps you should talk about something else. You look silly when you get that wrong time and time again.
