George Brett’s dog went missing over the last day and the Royals Hall-of-Famer turned to Twitter to help find it.

On @GeorgeHBrett, the former Royal asked for help to find Charlie starting around midnight Tuesday.

Please help: My dog has gone missing. his name is Charlie and he is a black labradoodle. HELP Please. Pic to follow!”

Brett tweeted out helpful information along the way.

Missing in the Mission Hills area! we appreciate the help!”

please help us find charlie! Reward!!!!!!!!! ”

Then, shortly before 9, came this word:

We got him! Thank you for all the support! It is so touching to see how many people care! You all were a big help! Thank you”

Brett’s not a busy tweeter; he just joined earlier this month and had sent out only 20 or so tweets.

Until, that is, he needed to communicate with the rest of the Twitter world.

Then came a stream of tweets, all aimed at finding something important to him.

There’s a message in there somewhere for the social media nerds of the world.
