The unprofessional Sensation Seeking of Time Magazine
Time’s recent issue shows a mother nursing a toddler almost four-year-old. Though I don’t have anything against the practice of nursing a big child, I do find Time’s method of seeking sensation a bit distasteful and demeaning to nursing mothers.
The private practice of nursing is meant to be between mother and baby in a respectful manner, with a baby sitting on its mother’s lap. Not in this defiant appearance.
Time magazine has succeeded in shocking and embarrassing readers by publicizing this private practice, depriving the due respect that is attached to this practice, all for the sake of attracting readers.
