Tax time no fun
How people contend with filing their income taxes tells a lot about how folks handle pressure.
People who wait until today to file are the folks who have to feel the deadline pressure weighing on them before they act to do something that is painful, and paying taxes takes a bite out of most Americans’ earnings. Individuals who file early are those who’d rather get the pain out of the way so they can move on to other things.
Those who file early benefit in these tight times because if the government tax-gobbling entities find themselves short of revenue, they will slow down the refund process. So the early bird gets the cha-ching while the late filers have to wait for the late paying governments to gin up their refunds.
