Shooting in Aurora, Colo., like scene out of movie

In the Quentin Tarantino bloody 2009 movie, “Inglourious Basterds,” the good guys toward the end wait until Adolf Hitler and the Nazi’s top brass seat themselves comfortably in a movie theater and then open fire on them in a total slaughter.

It was all fiction, but that scene has an eerie resemblance to the mass shooting that took place early today in Aurora, Colo., at the opening of the new Batman movie. The crowded theater was not unlike what Tarantino set up in his film with a lot of fire and confusion.

It would be interesting to learn whether the shooter in Colorado had seen and then mimicked the Tarantino film.
