Two-faced Sen. Pat Roberts rips Hillary Clinton
U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts, a Kansas Republican, was in full-throat scolding mode Wednesday in attacking Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s testimony on the Benghazi attacks.
“134 days after the attacks on our consulate in Benghazi, the fog of war remains,” Roberts said. “Despite the secretary’s testimony today, I doubt we will ever get definitive information regarding this tragedy from this administration.”
Now remember, Roberts is supposed to have a little political heft on this topic, what with his former leadership of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
But wait a minute.
It’s coming back to me now.
Didn’t Roberts, when he led that panel in the mid-2000s, get accused of being involved in his own coverup of intelligence information, designed to shield President George W. Bush and his administration from criticism?
And didn’t this Roberts fiasco last not 134 days or so but more than three years?
Yes, that all happened.
Here, here and here are some of the details of how Roberts acted at the time.
When it comes to national security, Sen. Roberts does not exactly have a stellar record to run on.

Maybe the good Senator is hoping to distract his constituents from any focus on how he lost Boeing? Big tax giveaways, right to work state, and they still couldn’t get out of Kansas fast enough.

3 months, 3 weeks agoWhat about McCain? In his attack on Clinton he’s aid he was in Libya on July 7 and his friend ambassador Stevens told him he was concerned for his safety and needed better security. Well, what did the almighty McCain do with his friends request. Did he return to DC and fight for better security, contact Clinton or the White House, or is he just grandstanding. You can’t have it both ways senator.

Nice touch with the name calling YT…. You forgot to call him racist and sexist though–-classic lib labels

3 months, 3 weeks agoYael, so that makes it OK for Clinton to be deceitful? If it was wrong for Roberts, as you say, then it has to be wrong for Clinton. If not, then you need another analogy. Which is it?
Please answer.

3 months, 3 weeks agoSo, JR, what Bengazi coverup?
The day after, Obama referred to it as a terrorist act. Since then, an independent commission has reported and punishment s have been delt out and plans been made to increase security.
Oh, you must mean the fact that Ambassador Rice read the misleading talking points on TV given to her by the CIA? The ones that were corrected in the next week?
Let’s see: Bushies lied us into a wqr that cost 4500 American lives. The Obama Administration MAY have intentionally misled some of the public about an occurance for a few ways. And, Roberts is upset at which?

3 months, 3 weeks agoPhil, Obama did NOT refer to it as a terrorist act the following day.To read that out of his Rose Garden comments is just silly. And even IF he did, then why was he and other blaming that silly youtube video for weeks after that?

3 months, 3 weeks agoJoe Biden is an admitted plagiarist and he is, by the choice of our President and the vote of our population, the Vice President of the United States and a legitimate candidate to be elected President in 2016. Pat Leahy has been busted more than once leaking classified information to the press, and yet he presses on with his elitist sanctimony. The featured speaker at the DNConvention has lost his right to practice law in his home state because he can’t tell the truth. Does anyone think I couldn’t go on all day long with this list? Should I start with the Lion of the Senate and his problem with driving off bridges? Should I finish with Robert Bird’s history in the Klan and talking about white N-ers?
Now I’ve had to listen to all of these elitist boobs (including the author of this column) tell me about right and wrong and get all self-righteous in the name of all that is good and holy but I’m supposed to have unmatched horror at Pat Roberts criticizing Hillary Clinton? Hillary Clinton of Whitewater and astouding cattle futures and Vince Foster fame? I just about laughed out loud….
The criticism against Roberts may be fair, but only if YTA wants to expose EVERY SINGLE POLITICIAN in DC, including the Democrats that he wants to protect, and maybe even including himself for choosing only to write expose’ columns against those whom he opposes ideologically. In this regard he doesn’t exactly have a ‘stellar record’.
This man is a joke.
