Romney should release his tax returns

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney should release his tax returns dating back to his earning his first dollar.

That data-dump should more than satisfy his detractors. But more than that, it will allow the presidential campaign to focus on the issues. Remember the high jobless rate and sputtering economic numbers?

President Barack Obama would prefer people to wonder about Romney’s returns instead of questioning Obama’s handling of the economy. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke didn’t help Obama this week, saying the U.S. is at risk of falling back in a recession.

Romney’s campaign needs to thump on U.S. economic worries. But Romney won’t gain any political traction while keeping his tax returns a secret.

So can you tell us lewis when the President’s “Job Council”, led by the great outsourcer Jeffrey Immelt last met?

Hint: January 17, 2012. Six months.

Yep, the big 0 is focused on jobs like a burnt-out laser. Jimmy II, leading us into another recession and trillion dollar deficits, what a “leader”

Seriously, what is so bad in those returns that it is worse for Mitt than all this bad press and specualtion?

Phil, the only bad press he is getting is from the liberal media. They are cheerleaders for Obama no matter what, so it wouldn’t make any difference. I’m sure the returns are complex and people like you will pick them apart unfairly with claims that can’t be unsubstantiated. An example is what you have already said about Swiss bank accounts.
