Republican candidates' campaign signs dominate I-70

Anyone crossing Interstate 70 in Missouri would think Democrats are as scarce in the Show-Me State as they are in Kansas.

That’s because few Democratic candidates have bothered to put big campaign signs out along the highway. These aren’t the billboards.

They are the ones that people have posted along the highway. Republicans aren’t shy at all.

All of the major candidates’ posters shout to passing traffic, including Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan and GOP Senate hopeful Todd Akin. Time is running out for the Democrats to be as visible to passing traffic — or maybe they have conceded that, too.

FYI, studies show signs as one of the least effective forms of garnering support from voters. Signs on people’s houses, are slightly more effective, but of the myriad campaign strategies candidates use: canvassing door to door, phone calls, mail, lit drop, print media, tv and radio media, visibility and signs, signs are one of the least effective. I mean candidates need name recognition, but if they are doingthe other things, they should have that.

I am sure you libs will file some suit saying the signs violate some environmental law or principle……:-)….

If you watch TV, you would think Republicans are scarce in MO. Also it would be nice to see, read or hear more about Gary Johnson and the Libertarians.
