Real work starts for GOP

The Republicans’ televised parade this week is over. There is a God.

Now the real work for the Republicans and the groaning for TV audiences begins. GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney on Thursday night in his acceptance speech skillfully praised the election of Barack Obama in 2008 and all of the hope for change that created for the country.

Romney adeptly said the election was the high point for people, who’ve been disappointed ever since. But what he didn’t say is that the Republicans in the House and Senate worked to ensure that people would be let down by the outcome of the Obama-led White House by thwarting everything that Obama attempted.

Remember their promise to make Obama a one-term president. But that never came up at the GOP convention this week.

The fun begins now with the campaign lies catapulted through TV commercials funded by mountains of shady political action committee money.

The Democrats’ parade begins next week. Lucky us. Stay tuned.

Lewis did not “revert to race.” He did not mention race. He did mention the White House, but I don’t think that means what George thinks it means.

Lewis, you didn’t have to watch and I have no idea why you did. There is absolutely nothing anyone could do or say that would cause you to reconsider who you’re going to vote for.

The Democrat’s parade begins next week. Lucky us.” Yes, if you like parades similar to those conducted in San Francisco. Lucky you.
