President Obama holds his own better in today's debate
President Barack Obama did a better job today of debating Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
Obama didn’t have a choice. His poor performance in the first debate made the one in New York a must win or tie situation if he hoped to have a chance of winning re-election. The president made good points on calling Romney on the former Massachusetts governor’s many shifting positions particularly on women’s issues.
Obama scored points saying his administration pushed for the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009. Romney, Obama pointed out, when asked about equal pay for women remarked I’ll get back to you.
Obama said women can’t wait for equal pay when many of them are supporting families. Obama said he wanted girls like his daughters to have equality in America like anybody’s sons.
Romney has sons, and the president has daughters.
