The All-Star Game this summer in Kansas City prompted a lot of cleanup activity around town that otherwise wouldn’t have gotten touched.

That was a good thing. We may see more because of Kansas City in December being the host of a summit of mayors and business leaders from around the country discussing the future of American cities.

Mayor Sly James have been instrumental in bringing the Dec. 3 and 4 conference to Kansas City. The stage will be the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. There is no better venue.

It will be time once against to dress up the old town for new visitors.
