Kid cruelty merited public outpouring

A caldron of kid cruelty boils each weekday on school buses.

A video that went viral with millions of viewers worldwide showed seventh-grade boys taunting a 68-year-old bus monitor, Karen Klein. She did her best to ignore them, but clearly she was upset by the name-calling from the teenage bullies.

The public responded after watching the humiliation. Initially a goal of raising $5,000 was set to help Klein take a vacation from the monsters.

Instead, more than $500,000 in donations for Klein poured in from more than 24,000 people. It is a clear indication that the public won’t tolerate bullying, and people were outraged over the lack of respect that teens too often exhibit toward an adult.

Is there no shame anymore?

I would love to see a similar outpouring for the 10 yr old girl starved by her mom and locked in a closet in kansas city. Is there a fund being set up? I live in washington, dc and have not been able to stop thinking of this poor little girl. I hope she will eventually thrive with the support and compassion of others. If there is a fund set up, please publicize this information.
