Just when you think liberal gun laws couldn’t get any worse, gun nuts push for more openness for firearms.

The Libertarian Party of Kansas has filed lawsuits against Leawood, Prairie Village, and the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kan., to force them to allow people to openly carry guns in public, The Kansas City Star reports.

Overland Park went along with the liberalized gun laws, fearing a lawsuit. It is great that Leawood, Prairie Village and the Unified Government are standing their ground against people carrying guns in public.

Such laws, like the proposal in the Missouri legislature to let educators carrying guns in schools, don’t make society safer. They only show how afraid we are of each other.
