Johnson County DMV Now Offering Uninterrupted Smooth Jazz

If you find yourself bored and waiting somewhere and don’t have an I-pod in your pocket, try dialing 913 715-2600. There you can listen to uninterrupted smooth jazz, playing such artists as Kenny G, Joe Sample, and Sam Brownback.
I listened for 42 minutes yesterday, until somebody from the DMV finally picked up, and by then I had forgotten why I’d called. So I hung up and dialed again.
The second call went even better. Nobody answered for 45 minutes, and then my phone went dead, which was okay because I’d fallen asleep listening to all that cool music.
With those Kansas state budget cuts looming next year, I sure hope the jazz is one public service that doesn’t get axed.

11 months, 1 week agoI hope that when I’m ready to march into my local DMV office to obtain the “necessary” Voter ID, all the problems of late will be resolved. Thats Kansas for ya.
I don’t want anything to stand between me and my right to vote in this upcoming Presidential election.
