OK, not exactly earth-shattering news, but Missouri’s pay-no-attention-to-me-because-I’m-not-really-doing-much-right-now governor has a huge lead in a new poll out Friday.

From Public Policy Polling:

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon continues to look like an overwhelming favorite for reelection. He leads announced opponents Bill Randles and Dave Spence by margins of 18 and 20 points at 47-29 and 47-27 respectively. And he also has a 48-30 advantage over prospective opponent Tom Schweich.”

Full report here.

Coming on the heels of yesterday’s PPP poll - which showed President Barack Obama inching up to where he is now tied with Mitt Romney in Missouri - Democrats have to be a little bit more enthusiastic about the November election.

Then again, given Nixon’s huge lead, it sure doesn’t appear he’s having much of a coattail effect on Obama.

The fat lady hasn’t sung, yet.

After the tongue lashing the moderates and independents have taken from the press what fool would put their head up and admit anything political except the radicals…people will tell the pollsters what they want to hear to get rid of them.

It could be worse for the dims than one might think come November.

People are hiding their feelings, why get beat up like Brownback? True? That’s why they will keep quiet until they vote, providing the black box computers haven’t been reprogrammed for the progressives. Ask Bev Harris to come to town and check out our black boxes and computers. Double dog dare you.
