Hostess Brands on ropes, but not out
Twinkies, Ho Hos, Wonder Bread and other Hostess Brands products look like the 21st century’s cats with nine lives.
The company and the union have agreed to mediation at the order of a federal judge overseeing the Chapter 11 case of the company, tabling a shutdown of the business and all of the products it manufactured.
That will keep the Hostess trucks rolling, the 18,000 workers nationwide employed and stores coast to coast stocked with the iconic Hostess products.
Consumers who grabbed up all of the Sno Balls, Ding Dongs, Twinkies and Suzy Qs, thinking there might never be any more, well enjoy your stash. You may not have to ration out how you eat them.
There will likely be a lot more where those came from.

Here’s how: The executives who claimed they could not afford to pay workers asked the bankruptcy judge to approve large bonuses for themselves — as a reward for going broke!
