Guns must stay out of kids' hands
The Kansas City Star
It’s easy to say that kids shouldn’t play with guns. But a lot of people apparently aren’t getting that memo.
A 6-year-old girl was shot in her lower leg apparently by her 14-year-old cousin in the waiting room of a Mission chiropractic office on Tuesday, The Kansas City Star reports.
After the gun went off, adults heard the cousin saying repeatedly, “I’m sorry.”
Not having guns and certainly keeping firearms away from children means never having to say I’m sorry. The resulting tragedies from gunshots are too serious for such simple words.
