Gun nuts gone wild
It appears the gun nuts who think President Barack Obama is going to wrestle AK-47s out of their hands are back.
They are buying more guns and more ammunition and getting more paranoid. How paranoid? Read here.
Never mind that Obama, during the presidential election, tried to placate the Second Amendment believers by essentially saying nothing new on gun control.
And never mind that Obama did almost nothing in his first term to advance the notion that he actually was going to take gun control seriously.
No matter: The great number of Americans who love guns, want to own multiple guns and think all of this makes them so much safer are stockpiling weapons again now that Obama has been re-elected.

The UN Arms treaty is enough to understand what Obama has in store. He bowed out of this 8 months ago and then begins pursuing it right after the election. Yeal….Hello? It’s not what you say, it is what you do.
You’d have to be an idiot to not be buying guns at this time.

5 months, 3 weeks agoYes, yes! Gotta have a brace of AKs and a bunch of hundred round clips to be prepared for the attack from those Black Helicopters right?
Wrong. “Red Dawn” is NOT a documentary. It is simply a masturbation fantasy for redneck adolescents of whatever age.
And — tragically — both President Obama and the Democrats (and sane Republicans) have all been successfully cowled by the NRA.
Look, there is a rational place for firearms: Hunting and other sports, even some level of home protection. With proper training — both in operation and safety — a reasonable degrees of weaponry “comfort” is a good thing, especially in a terrific pool from which to provide for our national defense. It is even OK to have fun with guns — under the appropriate conditions.
But the idea that you need gun laws so lax that every nut in America can fill a closet with semi-automatic firepower and banana clips is suicidal — and, “the Constitution is not a suicide pact.” It is not enough to mourn the dead or even to fill prisons with those who kill or otherwise use guns illegally. It is possible to support legitimate firearm ownership without simply flooding the nation with firepower.
The first step might be for the SANE majority of the NRA to retake control of an institution that has degraded into a lobby for gun manufacturers.

5 months, 3 weeks agoObama ought to get a lifetime achievement award for being the best friend the gun industry ever had. He hasn’t uttered a word about gun control but they’re still selling as fast as they can crank ‘em out. How can they be so well armed and so afraid at the same time?

And pretend that such stuff is your only “news” source.
Quick, Mabel, load that clip before the helicopters get here!
