Energy drink investigation needed

The investigation into energy drinks after unexpected deaths is long overdue.

The Food and Drug Administration is looking into possible links between 5-Hour Energy and 13 deaths, The Associated Press reports. There also have been 92 reports citing illnesses and hospitalizations.

Monster Energy Drink also is part of the probe because of five deaths and one non-fatal heart attack.

The high energy products are sold in many convenience stores, drugstores and at grocery stores. People consume the heavily caffeinated drinks to stay awake or alert.

But if people are that tired, lethargic or fuzzy-brained they should just seek nature’s cure — take a quick power nap and feel energized.

You mean people should exert some PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY lewis?

Surely not!!! Why this would be patently unfair to all those stupid people. Come on… we need an energy drink czar with a large bunch of bureaucrats, not PERSONAL RESPONSIBILTIY.
