Early spring snowfall interrupts life
The Kansas City Star
The early spring snowfall wasn’t at all welcomed.
The five to seven inches that landed in Kansas City on Saturday and Sunday caused a lot of church-goers eager for Palm Sunday service to worship either at home or at the alter of their snow shovels, digging out yet again.
People who had plans just hunkered down and stayed inside. Meanwhile, with less traffic on the road, street clearing crews did a good job of getting the pavement clean.
There were some accidents and some backups, however, the street cleaning on Sunday made the drive to work today a lot easier than if the snowfall had hit during rush hour. That is a small blessing.
