Don't like the media, buy your own -- if you are rich

The Koch brothers apparently plan to follow Rupert Murdoch’s pattern of buying and controlling the message that the media put out.
Charles and David Koch, billionaires based in Wichita, are exploring a bid to buy the Tribune Co.’s eight newspapers, The New York Times reports. The libertarians, who are radical about smaller government and low taxes, could become like Murdoch whose media empire includes Fox News and The Wall Street Journal.
Murdoch’s media outlets bend hard to the right. They are popular with Fox News convincing folks that the network is “fair and balanced.”
If the Koch brothers are able to purchase the Tribune papers they will have a similar voice in which they can get their message across to people.
