The Downtown Diversity Coalition will meet at 7 p.m. today (Nov. 13) at The Kansas City Star, 1729 Grand Blvd.

The meeting is open to the public. People can bring up any topic. I am sure the election will be one of them. Park in The Star lot at 18th and McGee streets.

The monthly meetings started by Dr. David Shapiro have been taking place since the mid-1990s to enable people to discuss topics and learn from the perspectives of others.

A second Diversity Coalition meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 14) at the home of Darrel Tyree, 9421 Riggs in Overland Park. Please call ahead at 913-649-6538 to reserve one of about 30 seats.

I will serve as the moderator at both sessions.
