Diversity of letter writers to meet this week
Lewis DiuguidThe Downtown Diversity Coalition will meet at The Kansas City Star at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9. The meeting is open to the public. People can bring up any topic. Park in The Star lot at 18th and McGee streets.
The monthly meetings started by Dr. David Shapiro have been taking place since the mid-1990s to enable people to discuss topics and learn from the perspectives of others.
A second Diversity Coalition meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the home of Darrel Tyree, 9421 Riggs in Overland Park. Please call ahead at 913-649-6538 to reserve one of 30 seats.
