Akin v. McCaskill, Round I: Claire crushes opening statements
Yael T. AbouhalkahClaire McCaskill just blitzed Todd Akin in her opening statements.
Akin talked about his family, a little home-spun introduction.
McCaskill didn’t bother with that.
She crushed Akin on his ultra-right views and on his repressive Social Security stances.
She also, more questionably, talked about her “moderate” views. Well, on some matters, yes, Claire is that. And she is in the middle of the voting pack, not a white-hot liberal.
