In 2013, Wichita State's fans can thumb their noses at KU
The Kansas City Star
The world of University of Kansas basketball fans has been turned upside down in recent days.
The highly ranked Jayhawks squandered a large lead last weekend against Michigan and got bounced from the NCAA tournament.
But Wichita State’s fans, so used to playing second-fiddle to KU (or third fiddle to KU and Kansas State), are much happier.
Their Shockers have surprised a lot of people and will be playing in the Final Four in Atlanta.
At least in 2013, Wichita State doesn’t have to take a back seat to KU.
And you have to know that irritates a lot of Jayhawk fans, in the Kansas City area and across the state of Kansas.
